Carved Opal and Obsidian
Carved Opal and Obsidian is named for the directly imported minerals from Mexico which started the business back in the mid 1980's, Mexican fire opal and rainbow obsidian, purchased from the local miners and artisans in Mexico by the business' founder, Larry Castle.

Since then, our business has expanded to include high end carvings made from mammoth and fossil walrus ivory, as well as modern shed moose and deer antler, imported directly from the artisans who create them in Bali and financially benefiting the carving community there. We also sell a wide variety of gemstone jewelry set in silver, Brazilian and Uruguayan amethyst, citrine and quartz, fossils, and semiprecious gemstone animal carvings, spheres, and new age tools.
